Maybe nobody will ever read this, but anyway I just wanted to express my astonishment as I learned today °
jark was kicked off

a couple of days ago. I still can't really believe it. I can't imagine this place without °
jark. But that doesn't end here. A lot of staff members are resigning from their places because of how $
spyed is acting behind the scene. Reading
Euphoria's resing post is appalling. Where has this community gone? I've been keeping a low profile for months now, but that doesn't mean I don't care anymore about what happens to this place. °
jark and °
matteo turned a simple idea into a great place to share art and feel at home. Maybe without $
spyed DeviantART would've never been economically sustainable, and maybe it could've never reached as many people as it has, but you know what, that's what made DeviantART less interesting every day, as more and more people joined the site. Thay say it's better to burn out than to fade away; DeviantART endured, and never burned out, but, for me, it has been fading away for a long time now.
Four years ago, when I finally joined the site after months of anonymously browsing it, searching for skins mainly, this place was really small and great. Now it's huge, and a lot less interesting that it used to be. I remember the times where the art groups flourished; now they are just a side link for DeviantART, and nothing more. Every day this place feels more like an art market, and less like an art community, and I'm sorry to say that. But hey, economy rules the world, isn't that right? Servers, bandwidth, full-time staff... that costs money stupid! But the question is, was it worth it? Has DeviantART sold it's soul? After the events we're living this days, I guess nothing will ever be the same again... at least for me it won't.
Of course, that's just my opinion, and I've never been a paying member of the site, so it's worth shit for DeviantART as a business. But hey, I've never liked ninjas anyway.
Farewell to the DeviantART I knew and loved. Been missing you for a long time already
